Veuve Clicquot Unveils Chasing The Sun
A radiant collection by Yinka Ilori celebrating joy, design and the spirit of summer
For more than two centuries, Veuve Clicquot has embodied a spirit of sunshine and optimism. Born from the bold vision of Madame Clicquot and expressed through the Maison’s iconic Clicquot Yellow — a colour that has adorned its labels since 1877 — this luminous identity continues to inspire the brand’s creativity, collaborations and unique way of celebrating joy.
Building on this heritage, Veuve Clicquot has partnered with British-Nigerian artist and multidisciplinary designer Yinka Ilori to create a vibrant visual universe that reinterprets the Maison’s signature codes. Renowned for his work across architecture, sculpture, furniture, interior and graphic design, Ilori — often referred to as the “architect of joy” — brings his distinctive approach to the project, combining bold colours, storytelling and human connection to create meaningful experiences.
Today, the Maison opens a new chapter with Chasing The Sun, a creative theme that reconnects with its founding vision: cultivating joy, optimism and togetherness.
Imagined by Yinka Ilori, this colourful world is populated by protective hands embracing the sun, reimagined stars and symbols inspired by nature and human relationships. Together, they celebrate light, warmth and conviviality.
As Ilori puts it: “In this world, you are the sun you are chasing.”
Chasing The Sun is an ode to the warmth that brings us together, the light that heals and the joy that radiates from within. It celebrates every gesture, every encounter and every shared moment. Just as sunlight transforms care into abundance, the generous shape of the calabash becomes a symbol of the rewards we carry when we nurture what matters most. It reflects a timeless philosophy—you reap what you sow—that perfectly embodies the spirit of Veuve Clicquot.
A dazzling collection of exclusive gifts
Conceived as a limited-edition series of luminous and functional objects, the Chasing The Sun collection reimagines everyday champagne rituals through the lens of contemporary design. Adorned with Yinka Ilori’s signature motifs, each piece transforms a practical object into a bold design statement where beauty and functionality coexist seamlessly.
Sun Holder
At the heart of the collection is the Sun Holder, a contemporary reinterpretation of the traditional champagne bucket. Inspired by the shape of a calabash, it combines symbolism and practicality in a design created for life on the move.
Produced primarily from recycled materials using an innovative 3D knitting technology, it is lightweight, durable and capable of keeping a bottle of champagne chilled for up to 90 minutes. Designed as both a functional accessory and a festive companion, the Sun Holder is available from CHF 75.
Sun Totems
Complementing the collection, the Sun Totems transform portable champagne coolers into sculptural design objects. Available in vibrant colourways for both Yellow Label and Rosé cuvées, they combine visual impact with performance, maintaining an ideal serving temperature for up to 90 minutes.
Crafted from recycled materials using the same advanced 3D knitting process, they are available from CHF 77, or CHF 86 for the Rosé edition.
The Iconic Arrow
The Maison’s signature Clicquot Arrow has also been reimagined for the collection. This customisable gift box indicates the distance between a chosen destination and Veuve Clicquot’s historic cellars in Reims.
For this limited edition, Yinka Ilori has redesigned the Arrow with three vibrant patterns inspired by themes of identity, light and aspiration. Made from recyclable tinplate containing at least 30% recycled materials and featuring an interior crafted from sugarcane waste, it reflects Veuve Clicquot’s commitment to circular design.
The Clicquot Arrow is available from CHF 75, or CHF 84 for the Rosé version.
A celebration of summer and shared moments
More than a design collection, Chasing The Sun is an invitation to embrace a lifestyle shaped by warmth, spontaneity and togetherness. Rooted in the belief that joy grows when it is shared, the collection transforms everyday occasions into meaningful experiences—whether gathered around a table, enjoying the sunshine outdoors or simply celebrating life’s small pleasures.
The collection was unveiled during Milan Design Week, held from 21 to 26 April 2026, through an immersive installation that brought Yinka Ilori’s vibrant universe to life.
