Matter in motion, time in rotation

Matter in motion, time in rotation

HAUTLENCE presents the Sphere Series 4

Release
April 2026

With the Sphere Series 4, HAUTLENCE sets time in motion. At the heart of a fully skeletonised dial, a sphere displays the jumping hours as it rotates on three axes in a hypnotic mechanical choreography. Housed in a rectangular titanium case, the Sphere Series 4 combines a sand-coloured textured sphere, retrograde minutes and the hand-wound A82 calibre to deliver a watchmaking experience that is as technical as it is visual.

With the Sphere Series 4, HAUTLENCE continues its exploration of watchmaking in motion, where mechanics do more than indicate time — they stage it. Here, time unfolds within a living architecture, animated by a rotating sphere that seems to defy gravity.

This model adopts an olive green and sand colour palette, inspired by natural and mineral materials. Time almost appears as a geological phenomenon, shaped by matter and patinated by light.

The rectangular titanium case, compact and architectural, asserts HAUTLENCE’s distinctive design language. Its sharp contours, seemingly carved from raw material, and its revised proportions contribute to the watch’s perfect balance. Water-resistant to 10 ATM, it combines contemporary presence with robustness.

On the left side of the dial, the jumping-hour sphere immediately captures the eye. Sandcoloured and finished with a finely sandblasted texture, it rotates on three axes thanks to a system composed of four bevel gears evolving around two crossed axes inclined at 21 degrees.

Around the sphere, the fully skeletonised dial reveals the architecture of the movement. Bridges, wheels and mechanical components appear suspended in space, giving the piece remarkable depth. The sphere seems to float within this mechanical landscape, creating a reading of time that is as fascinating as it is unconventional.

On the right, the retrograde minute hand travels across a 180° sector along a suspended minute track before returning to its starting point in a swift and perfectly controlled motion. This instantaneous return — a technical signature of the brand — adds a dynamic dimension to the display of time.

At the heart of the watch beats the manualwinding A82 calibre, designed and assembled in the brand’s workshops. Equipped with a hairspring produced by Precision Engineering AG, HAUTLENCE’s sister company, it offers a 72-hour power reserve. The skeletonised barrel drum and ratchet reveal the tension of the mainspring, allowing an intuitive reading of the remaining energy. A mechanical safety system prevents any incorrect manipulation when setting the time, preserving the integrity of the movement.

With the Sphere Series 4, HAUTLENCE offers a singular vision of time: a mechanical spectacle where watchmaking precision meets an almost organic aesthetic.
