23, like its address on Rue de la Coulouvrenière. On one side, there’s a bar draped in tin, retro wood floors, tall metallic stools and glowing ball lights that twinkle in the dark. On the other side, a unique terrace, on the very edge of the Rhône, facing the (very) long Bâtiment des Forces Motrices (BFM) building — a former hydraulic factory (1886) that’s now a theatre. And in the middle? An annex, where one can sip local wine or cocktails surrounded by antique heavy furniture and mirrors, and the light-filled restaurant, which is simultaneously vintage and modern. Expect to find a rotating menu, carefully chosen, often meat-forward and primarily with locally sourced ingredients.
