On Sicily's northern coast, Club Med Cefalù has been reborn as an Exclusive Collection Resort. The perfect setting to embrace the island's dolce vita, with one eye on the shimmering Tyrrhenian Sea and the other on the honey-coloured stone of Cefalù's historic centre, nestled beneath its dramatic mountain backdrop.

Sheltered behind a grove of olive trees and occupying its own rocky peninsula, punctuated by short limestone cliffs, Club Med Cefalù enjoys one of the most spectacular settings on the Sicilian coast. Just moments from the historic town, the resort recently reopened as the first five-Trident Exclusive Collection Resort in Europe.

Blending naturally into the rocky landscape, where young oleanders and palms soften the mineral surroundings, the private Villettas draw inspiration from Sicily's traditional muragghi dry-stone walls and dammusi stone dwellings. Beneath their rustic exterior, however, everything is resolutely contemporary. Spacious, light-filled interiors (34–36 m²) are accented with turquoise touches, while triple-layer mattresses promise exceptional comfort. Wooden slatted screens temper the southern sunlight, and open-plan bathrooms feature deep freestanding bathtubs alongside oversized porthole-inspired mirrors, subtly echoing the resort's close relationship with the sea.

Endless Views
The Villettas perched closest to the cliffs enjoy complete privacy. Beyond their floor-to-ceiling windows lie little more than a private terrace and uninterrupted sea views.

Elsewhere, generous outdoor lounges invite guests to slow down and take in the scenery. At the far end of the estate, an elegant infinity pool stretches above the shoreline, its waters visually merging with the Mediterranean beyond. It combines two distinct swimming areas: one conventional pool and one natural basin already home to aquatic plants. Beneath generous parasols, sun loungers instinctively face the horizon, framed by prickly pear cacti and the endless blue of the sea.

Stone stairways weave through the rocks towards the peninsula's tip, where the panorama opens onto Cefalù itself. Facing east across the bay, the historic town glows in the soft light of sunset beneath the towering La Rocca. At its heart stands the magnificent Norman cathedral, home to some of the Mediterranean's finest Byzantine mosaics, created during the 12th century. Beneath shimmering gold, the imposing Christ Pantocrator continues to watch over the cathedral's apse.

By the Water's Edge
Below the cliffs, the resort's private jetty extends towards the same magnificent view. Guests can set sail aboard a Hobie Cat, glide across the water on a stand-up paddleboard—or even try paddle fitness or paddle yoga. This is Club Med, after all, and activities abound: immaculate tennis courts, archery, and even electric surfing for those seeking something a little different.

In the kitchens, there is little time to pause. Every dish reflects the culinary vision of celebrated Italian chef Andrea Berton. Having trained at Florence's legendary Enoteca Pinchiorri before working alongside Alain Ducasse, Berton has earned four Michelin stars throughout his career. While his Milan restaurant, Berton, remains his flagship, he has also created the menu for Il Palazzo Gourmet Lounge, Club Med Cefalù's signature restaurant. Here, refined cuisine inspired by the Friuli region is served in an elegant setting that pays tribute to the golden age of Italian cinema.

Closer to the shoreline, Riva Beach opens during the summer months, offering relaxed barbecue dining accompanied by sea breezes—or simply spectacular views when the wind becomes too lively.

And to finish? A lemon gelato, enjoyed with your feet almost in the water. Summer, here, promises to be both warm and unforgettable.
