Juliette Clovis is renowned for her artistry in transforming clay, an inert material, into moving, organic, unexpected, and contrasting skins. She performs the work of an alchemist: natural materials become an art object, and clay becomes an armor of scales assembled in a search for harmony, balance. Now, her signature porcelain scales cast a robe of brilliant armor over a jeroboam-size Dom Pérignon bottle. The objet d’art, at once delicate and imposing, is coupled with its jeroboam bottle of Dom Pérignon vintage 2008.

The striking «scale armor», composed of hundreds of sleek porcelain scales, follows a jagged and linear progression from shiny platinumto gleaming black to glossy black luster. Each scale is affixed by hand to the bottle, draping perfectly over its unmistakable contours. The majestic Dom Pérignon shield, transformed into shiny platinum porcelain, sits atop the scales in elegant contrast. Only 50 numbered limited editions will be crafted.
