VERBIER GOES GREEN

Being ecologically minded is a sign of the times… climate crisis, energy crisis – Verbier is planning and taking action! The station has prioritized reducing its carbon footprint by reinforcing station access via public transportation. In parallel, all of the station’s infrastructure upgrades are meant to protect the region long-term by reducing energy consumption and minimizing environmental impact: new snow-making systems that use less water and energy; more efficient electric controls and engines; heat recovery systems for cable cars; solar panels and triple-glazed windows for buildings; renewable sources of energy for heating, and more! Thanks to these actions, Téléverbier has obtained the ACT (Agence Cleantech Suisse) label, and they have every intention of focusing on sustainable development for the station moving forward.
