The Blauherd-rothorn cable car resumes service
Ground movements had threatened the structural integrity of the Blauherd-Rothorn cable car’s main towers, forcing an operational shutdown for two consecutive summers. The cable car links Blauherd (2,571 m) and Rothorn (3,103 m), just above Sunnegga. Thankfully, formal restoration work has been completed and the cable car will resume service for the 2019-2020 winter season.
