These are the questions asked by filmmaker Frédéric Favre from Sion, who tackles the subject of this legendary ski mountaineering race through the eyes of three ordinary participants: a woman taking in the mountain as part of a spiritual experience, a hard-core competitor, and an atypical “oddball”. It’s a psychoanalytical piece that “blends fiction with reality”—the favourite playground of its creator, who himself has participated in the Patrouille des Glaciers three times.
