Zum See: the soul of Valais
There’s a very good reason for paying Max and Greti Mennig a visit at their Zum See restaurant, which is housed in a warm and welcoming 17th-century chalet with a panoramic terrace. The eatery is nestled in the hamlet from which it takes its name (1,766m), just below Furi. The key to its success is the use of the freshest local produce in dishes that happily combine Valais cuisine with Mediterranean touches. Opening hours are 12pm-5pm, from mid-December to mid-April.
