The Lake as a playground
Between lake and mountains, an exceptional multisport challenge
On 4 and 5 July, Geneva once again hosts one of the region’s most demanding and spectacular sporting events: the Geneva Triathlon. With the lake, harbour, quays, vineyards, ridgelines and mountains, it’s hard to imagine a better backdrop. There are seven race formats, ranging from the very short Kidsathlon (ages 6-10) to the flagship Half event for the most experienced, which combines 1.9 km of swimming, 90 km of biking and a final half marathon along the lakeshore. The Discovery format is a happy medium, with 250 m of swimming, 10 km of cycling and 2.5 km of running. All adult race formats also offer a relay option.
