THE KIN MOUNTAIN HUT HAS ITS MOMENT IN THE SUN
Perched on a ridge at 2,584 m in altitude, the small Kinhütte (30-person capacity) boasts a location that’s a three-hour trek from Randa, close to the famous Charles Kuonen suspension bridge (on the Europaweg Trail), and at the foot of the Grabenhorn and the Täschhorn. A calmer alternative to the Europahütte, this refuge is open each year from the end of June to the end of September, and recently made some future-forward renovations by installing solar panels. Not to be overlooked is the hut’s exceptionally sunny terrace, which also offers spectacular views of the Matterhorn.
