Next-level course setup
Swatch Nines events are known for having some of the most rider‑friendly course setups in the world, and Niseko’s reputation for its impressive skiing and snowboarding facilities sets the bar even higher.
That’s why this year, the course setup, which was designed with direct input from top riders, including Swatch Proteam athletes Kaishu Hirano (JPN, Snb) and Jesper Tj.der (SWE, Ski), is taking things to a whole new level.
“What excites me most this year is the chance to create something the world hasn’t seen yet. Every year, something happens where you’re like, ‘Wait… is that even possible?’ And if I can be part of creating one of those moments, that would mean everything to me”, Kaishu commented.
Course highlights include a set of never‑seen‑before features, like the largest skate pavilion the event has ever created, fully rideable for both snow sports and skate athletes; and a show‑stopping 50‑meter rail, the longest in the event’s history.
The course also features a few unexpected twists, crowd favorites like a sky high big air jump, and a next level quarter pipe designed purely for progression.
