Six Senses Crans-Montana
Jean-Yves Blatt to take over management of five-star hotel in the Swiss Alps from February 2025
The leadership team at Six Senses Crans-Montana is now complete – and delighted to welcome a high-profile new appointment as General Manager. From February 2025, successful hotelier Jean-Yves Blatt will take over the management of this exceptional luxury hotel, which has only recently been fully completed. Mr Blatt previously managed the Villars Alpine Resort and played a key role in transforming Villars Palace into a prestigious luxury destination within the region. Together with his dedicated team, he has set himself the goal of establishing Six Senses Crans-Montana as the premier wellness and luxury holiday destination in the Alpine region in the coming years and further strengthening the brand across Switzerland.
Having guided the acclaimed The Chedi Andermatt hotel to success after success and award after award since joining in 2015, successful hotelier Jean-Yves Blatt became Group Managing Director of the Villars Alpine Resort Group (VAR) in the Vaud resort of Villars-sur-Ollon in November 2023. At the same time, he held the position of General Manager at Villars Palace, a fully renovated traditional grand hotel. Thanks to his strategic leadership skills and many years of experience in the luxury hotel sector, he played a significant part in establishing Villars Palace as a prestigious luxury destination within the region. Under his management, the five-star-plus hotel saw considerable growth and laid solid foundations for continued excellence and innovation. He mastered the art of combining culture and luxury to enhance the guest experience. Under his stewardship, Villars Palace was also included in the celebrated “Leading Hotels of the World” collection and the “Swiss Deluxe Hotels” association at the end of 2024, which cemented its position as one of the world’s best-known providers of luxury accommodation.
“I’m incredibly pleased to be leading Six Sense Crans-Montana into the next era and to have the chance to further establish the Six Senses brand, which is particularly well-known in Asia, here in Switzerland. As the name suggests, Six Senses doesn’t just stand for distinctive luxury and upscale hotels. It embodies pure sensory appeal and sets the standard for a sustainable and holistic experience that speaks to your body and soul. We want our guests to go back to their everyday lives not just feeling refreshed, but feeling invigorated and resilient too. It’s an ambitious goal, I know”, explains Jean-Yves Blatt.
