Are you familiar with the charming medieval village of Hermance, just near the Savoy border, with its beautiful, old buildings that are draped in vines, oleander and hydrangea? Well, on 8-9 August, this lovely village welcomes a fusion of music — classical, blues, progressive, electronic, Latin and jazz — during the 33rd edition of the highly anticipated Jazz sur la Plage festival. Focusing on local artists, the festival’s concerts take place both outdoors — on the beach and the quays — and indoors in the town’s wine-cellar and main hall. All the shows are free, but donations are always welcome! The programme features some 15 performances and around 70 artists, plus an exhibition, a theatre performance and a plethora of food trucks for a delicious pick-me-up.
