Building on nearly two centuries of excellence in Swiss watchmaking, Longines unveils an extensively redesigned HydroConquest collection that blends contemporary aesthetics with proven performance. Available in 39-mm and 42-mm sizes, the range features four new dial variations and five striking ceramic bezel colours, complemented by innovative bracelets, including a newly introduced Milanese mesh version. This new generation embraces bold refinement for every pursuit. The collection debuts with a compelling campaign starring Longines Ambassador of Elegance Henry Cavill, filmed on the dramatic shores of Tenerife, where the interplay of land and sea captures the very essence of the HydroConquest.

Since its introduction in 2007, the HydroConquest collection has embodied Longines’ distinctive approach to watchmaking, combining robust functionality with the understated elegance that defines the brand. Drawing inspiration from maritime adventure while maintaining timeless design principles, these timepieces have established themselves as sporty companions that transition seamlessly from active pursuits to elegant occasions.

Redesigned for the modern explorer
For 2026, Longines presents a comprehensively reimagined HydroConquest line featuring automatic models in two versatile sizes. The 39- mm and 42-mm stainless-steel cases deliver contemporary proportions that balance presence with wearability, while refined details throughout the collection speak to Longines’ commitment to horological excellence.

The redesigned dial showcases an elegant aesthetic, with new applied indices treated with Super-LumiNova® for exceptional legibility. The collection offers four dial options: polished lacquered finishes in blue, black, and green – each providing depth and visual interest – plus a distinctive frosted-blue sunray variant that creates a captivating play of light across its textured surface. Five ceramic bezel colours frame these dials: classic black, blue and slate grey are joined by two vibrant new shades – verdant green and luminous blue – allowing numerous dial and bezel combinations.

The reworked unidirectional rotating bezel system, borrowed from the Ultra-Chron Diver model, delivers enhanced tactile feeling. A new Super-LumiNova® capsule at the time “0” position on the bezel brings optimal visibility in all light-ing conditions. With a screw-in crown and robust construction, these time-pieces offer a water resistance of up to 30 bar (300 metres).

Power beneath the surface
At the heart of each watch beats the Longines exclusive calibre L888.5, a self-winding mechanical movement featuring a silicon balance-spring and innovative components that deliver exceptional precision, making it up to ten times more resistant to magnetic fields than ISO 764 standards require – a crucial advancement for modern time-pieces regularly exposed to magnetic interference. With a power reserve of up to 72 hours, this movement exemplifies Longines’ dedication to both performance and reliability.

The screw-down case back now bears the same refined Longines logo, in a design familiar to GMT models launched in 2023, featuring a planisphere engraving that subtly connects this collection to Longines’ heritage of equipping explorers and adventurers. This design continuity extends to the bracelet, with three models presented on stain-less-steel featuring elegant H-shaped links, the same sophisticated design introduced with the GMT mod-els. These bracelets incorporate a double-folding safety clasp with a micro-adjustment system, offer-ing four adapting ranges for personalised comfort.

A first for HydroConquest
Marking a significant innovation for the collection, three additional references debut on Milanese mesh bracelets crafted from high-quality stainless steel. Featuring a full-brushed finishing with polished sides, these bracelets complete the sophisticated explorer aesthetic that seamlessly bridges heritage and modernity.

The tapered mesh construction offers exceptional comfort and breathability, and the micro-adjustment clasp ensures an impeccable fit. Improved shortening links allow for easy personalisation, making these bracelets as practical as they are elegant.

With its blend of technical excellence and refined design, the new HydroConquest embodies a spirit of freedom and purposeful movement. These are timepieces for individuals who navigate between worlds – between land and sea, between adventure and elegance – with equal confidence and grace.

Corporate boutique and e-commerce exclusive
Two striking 39-mm and 42-mm references, featuring frost-ed-blue dials, are available exclusively through Longines Corporate Boutiques, Shop in Shops and the brand’s e-commerce platform. These models, showcase a captivating interplay of light across their sunray textured dial surfaces, creating depth and visual interest that evolves throughout the day.

The frosted-blue finish provides a contemporary marine-in-spired interpretation moving beyond literal representation to capture the essence of water through colour and texture. Paired with dark-blue ceramic bezels and presented on stain-less-steel bracelets with micro-adjustable, double-folding safety clasps, these exclusive models offer collectors and enthusiasts distinctive variants that stand apart from the core collection while maintaining the technical excellence and sporty elegance that define HydroConquest.

Henry Cavill introduces the next-generation Hydroconquest
The new HydroConquest finds its ideal embodiment in Henry Cavill, Longines Ambassador of Elegance since 2024, whose latest campaign for the collection evokes a spirit of freedom and purposeful exploration. Filmed on the dramatic volcanic shores of Tenerife in the Canary Islands, Spain, the campaign captures Cavill moving effortlessly between land and sea, mirroring the watch’s versatility and the duality at the heart of the Hydro-Conquest identity.

Set against a backdrop of dark sandy beaches and crashing Atlantic waves, horses appear as powerful symbols throughout the campaign, representing not only speed and grace but also Longines’ long-lasting relationship with the equestrian world. As Cavill navigates between the shoreline and the turning tide, the campaign visualises a philosophy of elegance in motion.

One of the most versatile actors of his generation
From his globally beloved portrayal of Superman in the DC Universe to Mis-sion: Impossible Fallout and Guy Ritchie’s The Man from U.N.C.L.E., Cavill has demonstrated remarkable range as a performer. He continues to evolve as an artist by pursuing projects that reflect his personal passions, including executive producing and starring in Amazon MGM Studios’ adaptation of the Warhammer 40,000 universe. He also stars in the forthcoming live-action Voltron film, produced by the same studio, and is set to lead their reboot of Highlander, directed by Chad Stahelski.

Beyond the screen, Cavill is known for defying expectations. A passionate gamer with a strong commitment to storytelling, he brings the same dedication to every pursuit, including his work with Promethean Productions, which focuses on developing original projects with purpose and impact.

The HydroConquest becomes an essential companion for this way of living: a precision instrument that performs when it matters most while maintaining the refined character that defines those who wear it.

“This watch brings with it a sense of lightness and dignity. It evokes thoughts of spring and summer shores, docksides and with them the promise of discovery; evocative of the classic elegance from Longines.”
– Henry Cavill

An evolution in sporty elegance
The HydroConquest collection traces its lineage to Conquest, Longines’ first line to receive trademark protection in Switzerland in 1954. It came to be known as “the everyday watch”, the Conquest established the template for timepieces that could perform across all facets of modern life – a philosophy that continues to guide the collection seven decades later.

When HydroConquest launched in 2007, it elevated the Conquest pillar to a new level of water resistance, offering up to 30 bar, or 300 metres, for the first time. The result was a sporty new line that could venture into more demanding environments while maintaining the refined aesthetic that distinguishes Longines. The collection has evolved thoughtfully through several generations.

The 2018 update introduced refined proportions in 41-mm, and 43-mm sizes along-side the introduction of ceramic bezels. The 2023 iteration marked a significant new chapter with a comprehensive redesign that established the collection’s new visual identity, introducing new dial and bezel colours as well as the collection’s first GMT complication. The 2026 generation builds upon this design DNA, further refining every aspect of the collection whilst honouring its essential character.

This measured evolution reflects Longines’ broader philosophy that genuine innovation emerges from respecting heritage while embracing contemporary needs. As a Longines signature collection, the new HydroConquest reinterprets a modern icon, serving those who refuse to be confined by a single environment.
