Breitling is delighted to celebrate the historic and unprecedented success of its brand ambassador and reigning World Downhill Champion Franjo von Allmen, who won three gold medals at the Winter Games in Milan and Cortina. With an impressive demonstration of technical skill, courage, and nerves of steel, the Swiss skier secured first place on the podium in the men's downhill, super-G, and team combined events.

Von Allmen's achievement will be remembered as one of the greatest in the history of alpine skiing. Winning the 'speed double' (downhill and super-G) is a historic feat; the third gold medal, which he won together with slalom specialist Tanguy Nef, underlines the strength and team spirit of the Swiss alpine skiing team.

"Winning a single gold medal is an outstanding achievement; winning three gold medals at a single Winter Games is a legendary achievement. Franjo embodies Swiss precision and ambition at its best. He performs at his best under pressure, both as an individual and as part of a team, with unparalleled composure and authenticity. It is a great honour for us to welcome this exceptional talent from Boltigen to the Breitling family," says Georges Kern.

Like the timepieces he wears, von Allmen's success has been defined by split-second reactions and unwavering reliability:

The downhill: A flawless demonstration of technique, courage, and determination.

The super-G: A masterclass in fast cornering and aggressive line choice.

The team combination: A team success and joint effort - all three on the world's biggest sporting stage.

"I never dreamed of the Winter Games, let alone medals, and certainly not three gold medals. It's incredible that I've now achieved the perfect Winter Games, and that's only possible with a strong team behind me. Staying calm at the decisive moment and pushing myself to the limit with precision. That's how I tick, and that's how Breitling ticks," says Franjo von Allmen.

Breitling congratulates Franjo von Allmen on this remarkable triple victory. He is not only the first reigning downhill world champion to also become Olympic champion in the same discipline, but also the first Swiss athlete to win three gold medals at the Winter Games in the same year. With his achievements, he inspires a new generation of skiers to pursue their dreams without compromise.

A legend on the wrist: The Navitimer B01 Chronograph
The Navitimer B01 Chronograph 46 is Franjo's companion off the slopes. Just as Franjo has made a name for himself in the history of alpine skiing, the Navitimer is an icon of watchmaking. With its classic slide rule and powerful Manufacture Caliber 01, the 46 mm watch is a bold statement of precision and endurance – the perfect companion for an athlete who performs at the highest level at top speed.
