Dubai’s rich and diverse dining scene is cemented in around 13,000 restaurants and cafes that offer cuisines from all around the world. The highly acclaimed Dubai Expo 2020 attracted 24 million visits by residents and global travelers from over 170 countries helping to position Dubai as a leading global city for trade, investment and tourism.

Boundless creativity for art lovers
In the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), visitors enjoy the variety of fine restaurants and renowned art galleries and move between fascinating architectural masterpieces. The vibrant centre of the metropolis is home to luxury five-star hotels as well as luxury boutiques, lined with extraordinary works of art along the walkways that connect the district. Every year in March, the Art Nights at Gate Village attract visitors from all over the world with live music, exhibitions and an extensive creative programme.

In the former industrial area of Alserkal Avenue in the heart of the metropolis, visitors will find one of the region's leading art centres. Around 40 warehouses have been converted into art galleries, dance studios and cosy cafés, creating a place of boundless creativity. Seasonal events and plenty of open-air activities round out the creative offerings and offer the chance to get up close and personal with the arts.

Gourmet food hotspots
As one of the most diverse gastronomic destinations in the world, the metropolis is the focus of world-class culinary attention. In 2022, the MICHELIN Restaurant Guide included Dubai in its list of 35 culinary hotspots for the first time. In the current list 2023, the MICHELIN Guide Dubai holds culinary treasures from the beach metropolis' uniquely multicultural and creative cuisine and presents a total of 90 recommendations that promise a very special gastronomic experience from 23 different cuisines worldwide. Three new restaurants were awarded one MICHELIN star and another restaurant was awarded two MICHELIN stars. All restaurants that have already been awarded one star in 2022 retain their award.

Travellers can enjoy high-quality street food at the Time Out Market. Gourmets will encounter innovative, modern dishes and a colourful variety of flavours. Covering an area of around 4,000 square metres, the market is home to 17 regional food giants. The outdoor terrace offers visitors a first-class view of the Burj Khalifa and the Dubai Fountains, while the regional chefs serve their creations indoors.
