La Haute Chocolaterie Du Rhône celebrates 150 years of sweet excellence
The Haute Chocolaterie Du Rhône, located at 118 Rue du Rhône, is the oldest chocolate shop in Geneva: founded in 1875, it’s celebrating its 150th anniversary this year. Churchill, Kennedy, De Gaulle, Grace Kelly, and King of Spain are all among the shop’s clientele. Since 2018, the reigns of the restyled Maison have been taken up by Genevan novelist Joël Dicker, who has loved the shop and its creations since his childhood. And while Grands Cru chocolates and sophisticated bites are still the focus, the Haute Chocolaterie also offers workshops (make your own chocolate bar!) and after work tastings.
