Bucherer opens boutique in Basel

Bucherer 1888 announces the reopening of its boutique in Basel at a new address. Located in the heart of the city and spanning over 700 m2, the two-storey store is remarkable in terms of both its carefully curated portfolio of luxury watch and jewellery brands and its elegant yet contemporary design.

Located in a historic building on Basel’s renowned Freie Strasse, the new Bucherer boutique occupies 700 m2 over two floors. Its style focuses on traditional Swiss craftsmanship blending with an innovative approach to design and hospitality. Visitors are welcomed into a warm and luminous environment with comfortable lounge areas and a bar.

ELEGANT AND WARM ENVIRONMENT
With its welcoming yet sophisticated atmosphere, the boutique redefines the balance between tradition and innovation, achieved through a clever interplay of materials and an enhanced open-plan floor design. High-quality materials, such as marble, walnut wood and bronzed brass, in combination with natural fibre carpets and lightweight fabrics create an atmosphere of refinement. A prominent staircase clad in aluminium with vertical illumination accentuates the connection between the two floors. Throughout the boutique, engaging elements draw attention to the products while bringing them closer to customers. Basel is a city devoted to contemporary art, and the styling and art selection throughout the boutique reflect this local passion.

DEDICATED AREAS IN ONE SPACE
A highlight on the ground floor is the Rolex area, an elegant space that reflects the brand’s dedication to craftsmanship and quality in every detail. American walnut, bronzed brass, stylish lighting and inviting seating give the area a contemporary and airy feel. Distinctive green marble slabs pick up on the manufacture’s signature green hue. Visitors to the Bucherer store will find other brands such as Tudor, Girard-Perregaux or IWC on the ground floor. The latter has its own, cleverly integrated shop-in-shop, which reflects the character of the brand but perfectly blends into the new boutique.

PLACE TO DISCOVER AND EXPERIENCE
On the first floor of the boutique, customers can discover the fascinating world of diamonds and coloured gemstones in an area dedicated to Bucherer Fine Jewellery pieces, as well as creations of other exclusive jewellery brands such as Chopard, Messika or Piaget. Ideal lighting emphasizes the sparkle of the gems. The new boutique also includes a Certified Pre-Owned lounge. Here, customers find a constantly changing portfolio of pre-owned luxury watches, all verified and serviced by Bucherer experts. The lounge also offers Rolex Certified Pre-Owned timepieces, which have been authenticated directly by Rolex. An elegant yet inviting bar on the first floor entices visitors to relax and enjoy the atmosphere. Long tables in both the Certified Pre-Owned lounge on the first floor and the multibrand area on the ground floor, feature integrated open watch displays. These areas are an invitation to discover and enjoy the products and also perfectly reflect the concept of hospitality of the new Bucherer boutique in Basel.
