AVALANCHE TRAINING COURSE WITH ZERMATTERS

The Zermatt association of guides and mountaineers is expanding their offer for the winter season. As more and more people seek to escape into the great outdoors, Zermatters has added an avalanche training course to their program. The participants learn how to familiarize themselves with the equipment (including an avalanche transceiver), how to understand the Avalanche Bulletin, how to recognize risks and react correctly in the event of an avalanche, and even some life-saving rescue techniques. Day-long group courses (225 CHF) are on offer until the end of January (excluding during the Christmas holiday period) and private classes can be booked any time. The training has two modules (1-day training for Winter I, and 2 additional days of training to attain the Winter II level) and all participants will receive a Swiss Mountain Training certificate.
