The Valais-based company ALPINTE is offering a special edition of its iconic glasses to support the fight against breast cancer. Throughout the month of October, pink glasses will be available for purchase, with a percentage of the sales being donated to two cancer-support organizations, Francine Delacrétaz Foundation for the French-speaking Switzerland and Pink Ribbon Schweiz for the German-speaking Switzerland.

ALPINTE: An Impact-driven enterprise
One of the company's goals is to support meaningful social causes.

“We want to make an impact not only with our products but also through our actions as a brand. Breast cancer is the most common cancer among women. Each year in Switzerland, approximately 6,000 new cases are diagnosed, and more than 1,400 women die from it. Cancer is a reality that affects everyone. It's essential to raise awareness, promote education and contribute to research to ultimately support affected patients because we are all concerned” explains Jérémie Pannatier, founder and director of ALPINTE.

Two cancer-support organizations covering all Switzerland
For its Pink October campaign, ALPINTE has chosen two organizations dedicated to fighting cancer —one in French-speaking Switzerland and the other in German-speaking Switzerland— seeking to make the largest possible impact nationwide. Additionally, these two associations complement each other, further enhancing the campaign’s reach and effectiveness. The Francine Delacrétaz Foundation offers local support to people affected by breast cancer in the French part of Switzerland, while Pink Ribbon Schweiz is dedicated to raising awareness among women in the German part of the country about the importance of early breast cancer detection, while also investing in research and studies for young breast cancer patients.

For every glass sold, two Swiss francs in total will be donated to these associations. ALPINTE further supports both organizations by supplying free glasses for their various events.

The product
The glass is made of high-quality borosilicate glass, which is heat-resistant, and its design is protected. Each glass, with a diameter of 75mm and a height of 105mm, holds 25cl and is individually packaged.

The special October Pink edition, which will feature special sets with the Matterhorn and Jungfrau, will be available from October 1st to 31st, 2024, on the ALPINTE online store.

A month dedicated to raising awareness
Throughout October, ALPINTE will host a variety of activities, including artwork donations by Swiss artist Corinne Weidmann, giveaways, and contests. Additionally, a specially designed tote bag will be featured for the occasion to create a genuine awareness movement, inviting all women to wear it throughout the month. October Pink will also be the main theme of the company's communication on its social networks.
