Crans-Montana gets ready
Major upgrades paving the way for future international competitions
The return of the men’s circuit to Crans-Montana in early 2025 already saw the Nationale ski run revitalised and equipped with snowmakers along its entirety. Work continued all year long in preparation for the upcoming 2027 FIS Alpine World Ski Championships, including the construction of a new, modular arrival arena in Barzettes — the event’s new showcase and future home of the event’s timing installations, media centre and guest area. It’s a massive construction project, which required major levelling work — to the tune of removing some 20,000 m3 of soil!
