The UYN shoe collection revolutionises the concept of footwear

Nature and technology, durability and performance, style and functionality are the cornerstones of the footwear project for UYN - Unleash Your Nature, the same ones that continue to inspire new developments. For the spring/summer 2023 season, the Italian brand is expanding its range by introducing new high-performance materials derived from nature and innovative design solutions that combine maximum functionality with incomparable style.

The result is ultra-light and flexible footwear, completely seamless thanks to the double-layer construction derived from socks, with breathable and anti-odour properties, to be worn with or without socks for a unique walking experience.

The ongoing search for sustainable AND high-performance materials has led the AREAS (Academy for Research and Engineering in Apparel and Sport) research and development laboratory to develop innovative fibres for the summer collection. The new generation materials are of natural origin and replace traditional synthetics derived from fossil fuels.

TREEON is a fibre extracted from plant cellulose, combined with cotton. It has extraordinary deodorising and breathable properties. TREEON is able to eliminate ammonia from sweat or bacteria on the skin, converting it into an odourless compound. UYN uses it raw, thus reducing the use of dyes. Extra soft and breathable, this fibre allows you to wear shoes without socks and fully appreciate the power of nature.

PAPER COTTON is an innovative blend of cotton and washi paper, produced from Manila hemp using an ancient Japanese method. Natural, breathable and lightweight, this material is ideal for keeping feet cool and dry in the warmer months.

ECOLYPT is a sustainably produced fibre from the eucalyptus plant. Its structure consists of very small hydrophilic fibres that absorb up to 50% more moisture than cotton. In addition, it is highly breathable and thermoregulating.

NATEX is a biofibre derived from castor beans: 25% lighter and 50% faster to dry than conventional nylon, highly elastic and naturally odour resistant.

A new level of comfort: seamless 3D knit upper, even easier to put on

In addition to the materials, the feature that makes UYN shoes unique is the structure of the upper, derived from the 3D knitted sock. This concept guarantees high breathability and superior elasticity. The upper wraps the foot like a second skin and adapts to every movement. The total absence of seams reduces pressure points and friction for absolute comfort.

For the Spring/Summer 2023 collection, UYN has focused on design by developing two new opening systems to make putting on and taking off the shoe as easy as possible. The upper of the shoe is shaped to follow the anatomy of the malleolus, reducing chafing. A low cut and sleek style that gives the shoe a sporty feel.
