THE TANNENHOF LOCOMOTIVE
In the heart of the Englischer Viertel, the Hotel Schaller’s Tannenhof reopened this summer after major renovations. Its 16 light-filled and cosy rooms feature light wood accents and a few exclusive (and beautiful!) balconies. The hotel also features the Golden Lokdown Restaurant, tucked into a stone cathedral-inspired chamber. The restaurant’s eye-catching centrepiece is Europe’s first electrically operated locomotive, now covered in gold, which originally ran the Gornergrat line in 1898! A superbly unique touch to compliment the wood-fired pizzas and delicious house-made pasta.
