The Verbier 3-D Foundation is known for having founded a sculpture park in 2010 at an altitude of 2,300 m, located between Les Ruinettes and La Chaux, which boasts spectacular views of the Grand Combin massif. Accessible by foot or snowshoe, the park harbours artworks that encourage us to question our relationship with our natural environment. New this year is “Global Wiring”, a sculpture by Swiss art collective Fragmentin, which consists of a glacial ice core (made of recycled glass) retrieved from a hypothetical future, containing obsolete wiring from a past era of hyper-connectivity. Still to come: “Altis Billboard Project”, a new piece (to be finished summer 2023) revolving around water-themed billboards that will be displayed at the cable car station in Les Ruinettes.
