A next-gen youth hostel
A modern hostel concept within a sustainable urban development
This year on 16 July, Swiss Youth Hostels will open a brand-new Geneva location in Vernier’s Châtelaine district. The seven-story construction is ultra-modern and was built according to the most demanding environmental standards, as part of a broader project that includes social housing and sports facilities. Featuring sustainable materials, bright communal spaces and a restaurant-bar-lounge (Yoummi) on the ground floor, the locale is set to become a “must do” for budget travellers. Visitors can choose from 176 beds, in either double or family rooms with private bathrooms or dormitories that can accommodate up to six people. Bonus: there’s even billiards and an electric bike charging station.
